Candyfloss cats

I am in love with this pastel cats photography from the 90s by Tim Walker. I discovered this photograph on the guardian – art and design a few years ago, and I am still fascinated by it. I think Coco Magic must be part of this Persian cat club!

“A lot of people get confused when they see this image. They think it was done by computer, but we actually took pigment powder, mixed it with talc to get the right ice-cream pastel colours, and brushed it into the cats.

And just in case you worry about the cats, here is another comment by the artist:
‘We were worried about applying the powder, but they were so vain they loved it’
